Elemental Technologies have created a software called Badaboom (Windows only). The application accelerates conversion of video files to H.264 for your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPod Video and other products using the H.264 codec (much like what you get under OS X using Elgato´s Turbo264. I wanted to try this software on my new MacBook after having installed Windows XP with Boot Camp. Do you need a simple portable solution for recording your podcasts and already have a decent microphone? Then I think you’ll find this product very interesting. CEntrance have made a small audio interface called MicPort Pro. It plugs straight into your microphone’s XLR output. Then you connect it to your computer using the included USB cable.
